Mr DOMINIC SCRIVEN OBE

Chairman of VFM and Dragon Capital Group.

Dominic Scriven is British, was educated at Winchester, and graduated from Exeter University in Law and Sociology. His 30 years of investing have ranged from London to Hong Kong, but have been concentrated in Vietnam. He studied at Hanoi General University for two years before founding Dragon Capital (DC) in 1994. Dragon Capital is active in investment management, capital markets, and microfinance, and runs capital in the region of USD 1.5bn. A Vietnamese speaker, he is an active advocate of financial market development and governance, and is a director of various Vietnamese public companies. He was appointed OBE by the British Queen in 2006, and awarded the Labour Medal by the Vietnamese President in 2014. His external interests range from Vietnamese art, propaganda, and philately, to biodiversity and reduction of the illegal wildlife trade..

Mr TRAN THANH TAN

Tran Thanh Tan (Mr.) was granted a master’s degree in Management from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Belgium). He obtained nearly 20 years experience in investment analysis, equitization consulting, equity market development and enormous contribution in building and expanding the Vietnam securities market.

At the early of his career, he started at Peregrine Capital Vietnam, one of largest Asian investment bank in the decade 90s. He had done research in various investment project of equity market and started to build Vietnam securities market model.

He then became a co-founder of Dragon Capital Group in 1994 and served as Investment Director from 1994 to 2003. He has provided consultation on the equitization process for over 20 state-owned enterprises, of which many large firms were listed in the Vietnam Stock Market at the very first stage, such as Ree Corporation (REE), Gemadept Corporation (Freight and Forwarding), Long An(Lafooco) Corporation and other private enterprises. In addition, he as well holds several senior managerial positions in many equitized companies. He is currently a Partner of Dragon Capital Group which managed more than USD1.5 Billion, investing in private equity and privatized enterprises.

In 2003, as a representative of Dragon Capital, he established VietFund Management and has been the CEO ever since. During 5 years of operation, he has guided and brought VFM to become the most successful fund management company in Vietnamoffering avariety range of products, diversified financial services. Hewas been awarded “Vietnam Outstanding Entrepreneurs Honored” and “Saigon Outstanding Entreprenuers Honored by the Ho Chi Minh city People of Committee over the past years.

He is a standing member of Listed Companies Club and the Vietnam Association of Securities Business. He is also the President of Fund Management Club.
Since February 2010, Mr. Tran Thanh Tan has been the Vice Chairman and CEO of VietFund Management.

Mr LE HOANG ANH

Le Hoang Anh (Mr.) received a M.Sc. in Foreign Trade at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences (Hungary) in 1994 and a Ph.D. degree in Economics at the same university in 2008.

He started his career as Financial Analyst with ABM Trading Company then with NLN Trading Company in Hungary. After moving to Vietnam, he worked for the HCMC Department of Planning & Investment as a Financial Expert. In 2000, he joined Dragon Capital Group as a Senior Financial Analyst and  an Associate Director. Since 2008, Hoang Anh has been Managing Director of Dragon Capital Private Equity Management Ltd.

Additionally, Hoang Anh is also a Director of Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company and of Global Cybersoft Inc. He has been a member of VFM’s Board of Management since March 2010.

Ms LUONG THI MY HANH, CFA

Luong Thi My Hanh (Ms.) received her distinctive bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Foreign Trade) from the University of Economics in 2000. While attending required domestic and foreign courses in securities investment and management, she is also a CFA charter holder. Ms. Hanh received an MBA degree in Business Administration, Gloucestershire University (England) in 2012.

Ms Hanh has more than 10 years of experience in investment and 3 years experience in finance and auditing at KPMG. Starting with VFM since the early days, Ms Hanh was in charge of Research and Investment analysis as a Portfolio Manager who has successfully engaged in several investments for VFM-managed funds. In 2005, Ms. Hanh was appointed as Director of Portfolio Management of Vietnam Securities Investment Fund (VF1). In 2008, as Chief Investment Officer, she was responsible for building, structuring portfolio and planning effective investment strategies. In 2010, she was designated as Deputy CEO in charge of Investment and Research.

Mr. NGUYEN XUAN VU

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu holds a Master degree in Finance & Banking and has many years of experience in investment and banking.  He has been working in different management roles at Sacombank and is currently a Board member of this bank.
